Overview
This project was developed as a final project for a worldbuilding class, and consists of a series of underwater environment studies focused on water simulation, lighting, and composition. I experimented with Blender’s volumetric cubes, learned how to animate a spotlight to create water caustics, and used some Blender add-ons, including Cell Fracture and a rock scatter tool. I modeled everything myself except for the coral, which was sourced from the Smithsonian’s 3D coral collection, and a shark, which was sourced from Sketchfab.
